The terms that govern working with The White Veld.

These terms apply to every consultation and interior styling and decorating engagement booked through thewhiteveld.ca.
These terms govern any consultation or interior styling and decorating service booked with The White Veld ("the Studio," "we," "us"). By booking a consultation or service, you agree to the terms below. Each project is also governed by a written service agreement, which takes precedence where the two differ.
The Studio provides interior styling and decorating services within Oakville, Burlington, and Mississauga, Ontario. Requests outside this area are reviewed case by case.
Every project begins with a paid, in-home Styling Consultation. The consultation fee is paid in full before your visit is confirmed and is non-refundable once the consultation has taken place. It is credited toward a qualifying styling package if you sign your service agreement within 30 days of your consultation.
Every service, and every phase of a project, is paid in full before that work begins. Nothing is started, ordered, scheduled, or delivered until the related payment has cleared. Payment is made by e-transfer or bank transfer unless otherwise agreed in writing. All prices are subject to HST.
Items are ordered only after you have approved them in writing and full payment for them, including HST, has cleared. Delivery dates depend on supplier lead times and are estimates. Returns and exchanges are subject to each supplier’s policies, including any restocking or return shipping fees. We inspect items on arrival and manage any claim for items that arrive damaged or incorrect.
The scope of your project, including what is and is not included, is set out in your proposal and service agreement. Requests outside the agreed scope are quoted and approved in writing before any additional work begins.
Licensed trades such as painters, electricians, and plumbers are contracted and paid by the client directly. The Studio can recommend and coordinate trades but is not responsible for their work. Trade work should be complete before your install date.
We ask for at least 5 business days’ notice to reschedule a consultation or install date. Fees for work already completed, and items already ordered on your behalf, are non-refundable except where a supplier accepts a return. The Studio may reschedule due to weather, access, delivery delays, or circumstances outside our control, with no penalty to the client.
The client is responsible for providing safe, clear access to the home on scheduled dates, and for letting us know of any building rules such as elevator or loading dock bookings.
With your written permission, the Studio may photograph completed work for its portfolio, website, and marketing. We never publish your address, family photographs, or personal information.
The Studio is not liable for pre-existing conditions in the home, for the work of trades contracted by the client, for supplier delays, or for damage arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control. To the extent permitted by law, the Studio’s liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the service in question.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
